		<description><![CDATA[Azure is going to be an  interesting alternative to Amazon&#039;s EC2 and Google app engine.
On one hand, it could be a great extension to the powerful .Net platform.
If you think about it from a programming languages and eco-system perspective it makes perfect sense.
It is just another run time environment with a slightly different set of rules.

Google has already tried to make data available as a service with Google base. While it is not a big success I still think the combination of free , high quality data with cheap processing power can lead to great new applications.

I wrote a post a while ago,on how new technology would enable developers to make money of algorithms ( http://ophir.wordpress.com/2007/12/29/can-you-make-money-writing-algorithms-part-ii/) .
It seems like this is a right step on the way to get there.]]></description>
