I wish that Apple would make it easier to search multiple stores for available appointments. I realize that not everyone has this issue but living in DC I have relatively easy access to five stores.

When I want to find the next available Genius appointment or workshop the Apple website does not provide a listing of the options at all of the stores. I have to check out each store individually--providing contact information each time I check a store schedule.

Although this new app might be one that I only use once or twice a year I would be much more likely to use it if it addressed this issue... or they could just make the website easier to use!

I would imagine that some people might use this more than once per year. Perhaps this app isn't written just for you.

That said, it would be nice if they would ALSO create a web app version for those who wouldn't use it as often (such as quandmeme and myself). There's no reason they shouldn't create the app as well, so long as it's free, but there's also no reason we can't have both. After all, many websites have iPhone mobile interfaces as well as dedicated apps.

This is a bad trend. So what is the decision process. I could download the custom app interface for my anticipated one trip to training this year and then delete it after the appointment. Or I could just use a mobile version of the website for that one visit. For some things, many things, Apple was right that web apps make alot of sense. HTML5 and caching only make that stronger.
