Skellyrocker, this is exactly the scenario I was playing out in my head as I read the article. Caveat Emptor.

Any developer worth his salt should be willing (and eager) to share his source code. If he’s not, run away quickly.

Only stupid people looking to hire a coder would fall into this trap. Dont’ know but I would imagine the thought process would be:

‘We need an iPhone app – Dave in accounts is OK on Excel Macros but it needs to be polished so let’s outsource!’

‘Hey, I like the look of that golfing app that Jeremy was using last week on the course – it was gorgeous!’

‘Let’s download it, find out about the author and see who he is and if he’s up for a bit of coding’
