French online video sharing site has Dailymotion officially announced that it raised a $25 million round led by the French Sovereign Fund (FSI), along with original investors Advent Venture Partners, AGF Private Equity, Atlas Venture and Partech International.

Two weeks ago we reported that the site had raised $22.1 million. While Dailymotion didn’t deny that number, it would only confirm that the amount raised was north of $20 million. Today’s announcement provides the correct amount.

FSI, 49 percent of which is owned by the French government, contributed $11 million to this round. By our count, Dailymotion has raised $68.5 million to date.
