my contract with verizon is up in may 2010. i’ll try to wait through the 3rd quarter but if verizon has no DEFINATE release of an iphone on its network, i’m going to at&t just for the iphone!!!

to be clear – They are bashing AT&T’s 3G network in that commercial… not the iPhone.

I drove from NJ to Florida and wanted to pull my hair out trying to get a good Edge signal, much less a 3G signal on my iphone. My thoughts of websurfing to help the time pass went right out the window. Unfortunately, the Maps are VERY accurate (look at the huge ‘white area’ on the att mapes going all the way down the mid-east coast). Verizon billing practices are ATROCIOUS, but trust me, their coverage is INFINITELY better.

Ended up switching to Sprint due to the high cost of cellphone plans, must say Sprint prices put all the other carriers to shame. Unlimited data, 450 minutes, and free mobile to mobile all for $60 for me after fees and cellphone protection plan. Iphone was great, but AT&T ruined it for me =(

Verizon Wireless Smart phone data plan is unlimited for $29.99/mo or 44.99 based on personal or enterprise. The PC CARD is limited to 5G though.

I believe you can see a coverage viewer on AT&T’s website. Not sure about verizone.
