I have to say, though i've always liked Tweetdeck from day one, i wasnt overly impressed with the iteration cycle. They seem to be asleep for quite a while. So i dont know if its competition from Seesmic, or Tweetie thats made the take it up a gear or what, but they seem to be very much on the ball and are certainly giving the users what they want, which i always like to see.

I'll have to try this out. I only have one Twitter account and TweetDeck does the trick. Does anyone else have this problem and think Seesmic is better?

While these improvements sound intriguing, my biggest problem with Tweetdeck is that you have to have a separate column open for regular updates, mentions, and DMs. If you only have 1 or 2 accounts, that's not a big deal. But if you have more than that, you're looking at more than 9 columns to shuffle through.

I still like Seesmic Desktop better. It has one column per account, in which you can switch between updates, mentions, and DMs. Much less confusing, and much easier to navigate around.
