my iphone crashes when i try to upgrade it the only thing appear on the screen is a usb cable and a itune bar how do i correct this

Glad to see I’m not the only one experiencing difficulties. Upgraded the soft wear for my Iphone 3G and now have nothing but problems with it. It freezes when I’m in the middle of a task, and I have to put the phone away for about 10mins before I can use it. Really pissed off about this bad performance apple you need to get your act together

I’m based in Kuwait and my cousin brought me an iphone3G from the states as gift and it has been working well for several months not until i was tempted to upgrade it via internet on my imac G5.. on the process of upgrading at apple iphone it hangs which afterwards i learned it is not anymore operating – this seems to have damage my phone sim card too.
I really love apple products but this iphone problem really made me so very disappointed. Local iphone store in kuwait told me that i am one of the few thousand people who approach them of the same problem and he politely excuse himself for not being so helpful.. he suggested to have my 3G send back to the state to my cousin for repair… Oh well that will be too much for me to handle… i mean expensive. The lesson i got through this is to be sure to get lots & lots of info before attempting to upgrade your mobile phone… (please excuse my english. its not my native tongue) .

Same problem. Took it in to have serviced and told no warranty as phone had water damage? Never been near water in its life!

My iPhone 3gs 16gb has had problems since I recieved it. It just randomly freezes for about a short while and I’d have to press the lock button and then slide to unlock. Sometimes I’d have to press the lock button multiple times to slide to unlock. Also, its just my screen not reacting to touch, because pressing the home, lock and volume buttons just works. Does anyone know about a solution or have any advise for (iphone froze here, while typing, twice) me? I’d really appreciate it.
