I have been teaching online now for the past four years as well as face to face tutoring. I agree entirely with the views expressed in the article above. The greatest advantage of online tutoring lies in the ability to use Online training resources as well as Computer based teaching techniques which make the subject much more easier to understand and comprehend. On my website Online Chemistry Tutor I make the best use of the online learning resources and have found dramatic changes in the results of the students I am handing.

Thanks to online education, I hope to get a masters. I enjoyed college, but it was exhausting sitting in lecture after lecture — not able to lipread every professor (Fact: lipreaders only catch about a third of what’s said on AVERAGE). I’ve loved all the online classes I’ve taken so far.

There are definitely tons of opportunities to teach. We do in-home computer lessons which could be a great side-job for web workers.

I think that this article makes an excellent point about the opportunities that online educaation opens to teachers. I have worked for an online university and we always focused on the students that were able to go to school that would not have been able to attend a physical classroom. It’s easy to forget that many people may have the opportunitiy to teach online that woould never feel able or comfortable teaching in a more traditional setting!
