I'm wondering where a collaboration of automotive electronic instrumentation folks might be to capitalize on a 12V solar power systems for small residences, cabins, etc. Driving in a Lincoln Towncar the other day brought to my attention that the automotive industry has a remarkable control of the environment in a vehicle and perhaps there is a business in taking these controls out of the auto scrap piles and recirculating them in homes in developing countries and remote/offgrid homes here.
