We’ve heard about generic social networks, we’ve heard about kids’ social nets; now a Russian social network for parents is starting up, and has landed $50,000 to do so. MiniBanda.ru (“mini gang”) got the funds from AddVenture, a Ycombinator mini-investor, Quintura reports.

Quintura: “Launched in May 2008, MiniBanda.ru offers parents an opportunity to write an electronic diary and place pictures of their kids. The diary can be customised and printed out. The parents can also join online communities to share opinions about their kids

  1. You seem surprised that parents have social networks, there are loads, notably Babble which piggybacks on Ning for their network.
