rim_blackberry_tourWhen we talk about the biggest smartphone companies and platforms, Research In Motion with its BlackBerry is always at the top of the list. RIM has experienced phenomenal growth over the past few years, largely due to producing popular BlackBerry models. It has successfully expanded its customer base from the enterprise to the mainstream consumer. Fortune Magazine’s current rankings have RIM pegged as the No. 1 fastest-growing company in the world.

The ranking are largely based on revenue growth, and RIM has maintained a staggering 77 percent increase in revenue over the last three years. The BlackBerry has successfully crossed into the household. This high growth rate is no doubt why Nokia recently indicated it entered into an alliance with Microsoft to give RIM a good run.
