Forbes Media, the parent of Forbes magazine and Forbes.com website, is hiring for a new president, we have learned from multiple sources. This comes after Forbes.com CEO Jim Spanfeller announced last month that he was leaving, and amid questions about the future of Elevation’s stake in the company. Forbes Media has hired James & Co, the New York executive-recruiting company, and Michele James, former chief talent scout for *AOL Time Warner*, is leading the hunt. The new hire will continue with the print and online integration, sources say, a process that has been ongoing since late last year.

Update: Statement from Forbes:

  1. one of the worst reputations of any company I've ever heard of before.
