Competition is what is needed for innovation and to keep things affordable.  I just recently dumped TWC for Verizo fios as I was fed up with the service (not as fast as promised).  If the government provided my internet, what could I do in a similar situation?

As for pricing, if your neigbor is hosting a website or uploading massive amounts of data for torrents or anything of the sort; while you merely surf the web, check email and download the occational song, why should you pay the same amount?  He is causing way more stress on the infrastructure than you.]]></description>
