OK. I give up. Why do people like True Blood so much? In a brutal experiment, I watched all of season one to see what the big deal was. It’s got horrible acting, it’s poorly conceived, and pays no attention to itself. So why are so many people buzzing about it on Twitter? The folks at Trendrr created a separate graph for the show because it was so much more popular than the competition.

Elsewhere on Twitter, David Letterman had some bite (ha!) following the “Fire David Letterman Rally” last week. Mainstay So You Think You Can Dance got a nice bump midweek, and the Showtime series Weeds got some micro-messaging love.

  1. I like TrueBlood … personally I don’t think it has crappy acting, at least not more or less than most other things currently on tv/in cinema. Also, it simply has some waesome cinematography/pictures, even the opening credits are awesome all over again every time.

      Thanks, Flo.

I agree with you on the opening credits. those freak me out every time.

  2. I enjoyed the first season. I found it campy fun and each episode ended with a mini cliff hanger. Not sure where it’s going to go, but I read it’s based on a book or series. And it sure as hell beats I’m a Celebrity Get me Out of Here. ;)

  3. such a hater, why?

    1. I forget, Chris — were you a Six Feet Under fan or no?

I enjoyed Six Feet Under at first — but then it got be so depressing and screwed up I couldn’t watch it any more.

I personally adore True Blood. Everyone has their own opinion on what’s good and what’s not. In my opinion, it’s pretty damn entertaining. The second season especially was complete madness! The thing I love the most about True Blood…….well that would be the characters. There’s always so much going on and yes the cliffhangers are great. From the beginning I got hooked and just couldn’t wait to see what happened next. Beats Twilight that’s for sure. It’s brutal and I love it! The only thing about the show I do not like is Stephen Moyer (Vampire Bil) first of all, Vampire Bill is just laughable. I’m not a fan of his character…at all. I wish Vampire Bill would go away. Eric…I really like. Do watch the second season.
