It’s only one week, but Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) can claim some new traction in the search market, courtesy of its Bing search engine relaunch, according to comScore (NSDQ: SCOR). Of course, it could just as likely be that it’s because it’s one week in that the Bing numbers look good, considering that many people are likely just trying out the search engine.

comScore says that both Microsoft’s “average daily penetration among U.S. searchers” and its “share of search result pages in the U.S.” showed substantial improvements. Says comScore senior vice president Mike Hurt:
