@Joseph - I was at a conference recently and spoke to the VP of Verizon's Open Development Initiative around their 4G LTE network. He assured me it would be a SIM based system. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

So will Verizon's LTE involve SIM cards, or will they just build the SIM into their phones and keep the network locked down? The inability to bring my own device onto their network is the reason I don't have Verizon (despite their 3g network being better than AT&Ts)
