Network operators that are geographically diverse are more likely to see continued growth in their mobile businesses, compared with providers that focus on a single country, according to a study out today from TeleGeography. The research firm says that while wireless and broadband subscriber growth will surpass 10 percent a year through 2013, most of that growth will be in countries where per capita GDP is less than $3,000 a year. Meanwhile, global services revenue will likely grow at less than 5 percent annually — less than half its current rate.
