For Stock Market Junkies, AOL's iPhone App, DailyFinance
Thanks to a tip over the weekend from my buddy and eco-blogger Paul Kedrosky, I’ve discovered AOL’s DailyFinance app, which has live stock quotes, interactive charts and real-time news and offers the ability to create and track portfolios. Along with the Bloomberg app, it has quickly become one of the apps I use most on my iPod Touch. Apparently I’m not the only one who likes it, either — it’s ranked No. 1 in the Finance category on the App Store. This app proves one thing: AOL is good at creating aggregated content experiences and as such should make that its focus, instead of mucking around in other businesses.

I will definitely check this one out…one other great finance app is StockRazor. Its free and tracks what stocks are being talked about on television. In addition, it has lots of fundamental research on tons of stocks. Its a great and very interactive way to view your portfolio and the news. iPhones are sick!

I just discovered that its not available in Sweden. Is it a US only app?
there are times i hate not being based in the USA … and this is one such occasion when i can’t get access to certain “cool” application that are only available in US app store. bummer !!!
Have you guys checked out PortfolioLive? I use it each and every day to track 3 of my portfolios (45 stocks in total). It is super easy to use, has advanced Portfolio management features (like shorts, multiple lots, cash). The devs are also releasing updates very frequently …
Oh and it has an awesome realtime stock engine … you can barely see the little communication icon go off. No charts but there is no easier way to check your stocks while at line at the deli. Much faster and more accurate real time quotes than DailyFinance (which is not real time except on 1 screen).
