I was wondering, where do they get the data and forecasts from?¿Is it legal to just redirect the weather info from government or web based forecast services or do they negotiate some kind of fee?.

I was thinking of an app where the weather wouldn´t be the core issue, just some extra data.. ¿Is it possible/legal to obtain and redistribute weather data?

Weatherbug? WEATHERBUG!? Is this the same program that millions of people have had sneak onto their system and consume the vast majority of their CPU cycles just for the purposes of delivering a sub-par weather report? If so, I would advise people to avoid this one like the plague!

Foreca Weather for iPhone has just become available on the app store.

It includes free navigation of map with support for zooming too. Haven’t seen this on other weather apps before.

New this week: My-Cast weather. Data-rich, easy to read, full-screen maps that support all the standard gestures from the Maps app. I think it gives these others a real run for their money.

“Today’s Weather Lite” is a pretty simple but unique weather app. It just compares yesterday’s weather with today’s (or tomorrow’s), but that can be nice.

Sometimes I feel like I have to wade through a bunch of useless info or do a lot of calculations to get to what I really care about… how did yesterday compare to today.
