There are two differences.  (1) While you&#039;re happy with a closed-source vendors product, you have to pay.  (2) You can do your own release of open-source products.

Yes, you might have to pay someone to do the work for the releases that you want on your schedule, but it&#039;s the work that you want done, not the work that the vendor thinks gives him the most value, and it&#039;s on your schedule.]]></description>
