The International Academy of Web Television announced the official nominations for the first annual Streamy Awards, which were created to recognize excellence in original episodic Web television programming.

We’re co-hosting the Streamys with Tilzy.TV and Tubefilter, and the official Streamy Awards ceremony — presented by Kodak and sponsored by Episodic, Microsoft Zune, Dailymotion, Sony Creative Software and Blip.tv — happens on Saturday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in LA.

  4. This is going to be a hard decision. There are a lot of great shows and a lot of great people behind these shows. It’s so hard to pick just one in each category.

    Team Streamy has done a fantastic job of pulling all this together.

    It’s not a small task.

    I’m looking forward to the event.

  6. Well, the nominations certainly don’t say much for the progress of independent filmmakers, writers and actors on the web. This list is so loaded with established industy pros that it makes you question the spirit of these awards. Congrats and good luck to the deserving indie artists who did make it!
