Jimmy Fallon’s talk show debut helped him get a nice social media spike last week, as Trendrr reports that there were nearly 6,000 tweets about the show — though with more than 250,000 people following the late night noob, you would think more people would buzz about it. After the spike, Fallon Twitter traffic dropped off a cliff. We’ll see if his attempts to bring on web superstars like Engadget or the March 11 appearance by DiggNation‘s Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht (no relation) will pay off for him next week.

Teenage girls evidently know about BitTorrent, as Twilight‘s vampire tale shot to the top of TorrentFreak’s list of the Most Pirated Movies on BitTorrent. Other newcomers were Bolt, Gran Torino and The Reader.
