The aggregation of social nets like Meebo’s use of IM clients is spot on.

Now cloud hosting the social networks and the INTEGRATED messaging functionality in a CLEAN and RICH way will give the user’s the choice to add and remove social networks and IM clients as they perceive value in each.

Yes, tonnes. Speculations on the longevity of facebook seem to ignore the life expectations of mobile handsets. If I were Nokia, I would die for facebook now, and pray that facebook dies in 3 years so that I can make the next gen handsets with the next gen apps. And no, I wouldn’t get into the web app business of any kind, because hey, that’s not my “core competence” – nor is it my bread and butter earner.

When that happens, it would be time for Nokia to move on to partner with the next hot thing. It doesn’t make sense for them to try and reinvent everything. They are getting clocked by rivals in terms of hardware and they shouldn’t be bumbling around with me-too services.

Unfortunately Nokia has inserted checks inside code and locked certain functionalities to developers. After discussion we got an impression that they locked it under pressure from operators. May be facebook require access to any such functionality.
