One of my predictions for 2009 was that an iPhone application-maker would be acquired by another company. Well, that came true even before the end of the year, and now, just even 26 days into the year, it’s a continuing trend. It’s no wonder either, since the iTunes App store now has more than 15,000 applications for sale, and has recorded more than 500 million downloads. The first that we knew of was German application developer FutureTap, which bought Where To, an application that lets users find points of interest around them using their iPhone

    Thanks for the writeup!

    Anthony.
