The inauguration of Barack Obama will be historic on my levels and the ceremony will likely be watched live by millions.  You iPhone owners who will not be in a position to watch the ceremony live on your TV should be aware that the folks at uStream have developed an application for the iPhone that lets you watch any video stream, inauguration included, directly on your iPhone.

The Ustream blog has all the details but basically you need to send them an email to get access to the application on your iPhone.  The following video shows how this works on the iPhone:

  2. I wondered how they were doing this with out App Store involvement, turns out the same as everyone else: limited number of copies handed out via Apple’s beta testing mechanism.
