Hi Alexander,

I'm one of the developers of Liferay and I'm very glad that you liked it :)

I would recommend you to take a look at the documentation and specifically at the "Portal Administration Guide" which is available for free with a Creative Commons licence and also in printed form here: http://www.liferay.com/web/guest/community/documentation/5_1

This guide explains how to install and administer Liferay in all the main supported platforms.

I downloaded the Liferay Portal a couple of weeks ago and set it up locally. I was really impressed with it's features and intuitive interface, so I figured this should be a perfect collaborative workspace for our organization. However, I just couldn't figure out how (or if it's at all possible?) to install this on a remote server. I didn't find any information on their web site that explained this to me in a simple enough manner. Am I missing something here? Does anyone have any experience in setting up/using Liferay on a remote web server? Or is it meant to be used only as an Intranet on a local network?
