UPDATE: The MacBook Pro has been sold.  Thanks to all who expressed interest.

I’ve been cleaning house here for a while and it’s time to offer my 17-inch MacBook Pro for sale to clear desk space.  The MacBook Pro is almost two years old and is in perfect working order and it’s a good opportunity for someone to pick it up for a good deal.  My unboxing was covered here.  I have all the original packaging so it is like getting a new MacBook Pro, except it’s not.

Here’s what it up for grabs:

MacBook Pro

  • Mbp_about17-inch screen
  • 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duo processor
  • 3 GB of memory
  • 160 GB hard drive
  • Apple remote control
  • A/C adapter
  • Spare battery

The MacBook Pro originally shipped with Tiger when purchased but I will include Leopard with it as that is what it’s running now.  I will transfer the remainder of the AppleCare warranty to the buyer, there should be around 1.5 years remaining on the warranty.

If you’d like to pick up a MacBook Pro this is a good opportunity so send me an email to jk AT gigaom DOT com and make an offer.  I’ll be moving it quickly so you could even get it for the holidays if that’s your aim.  Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer so take that into account in your offer.  I’m sorry but I have to restrict shipping to the US.

  1. Not to pick a nit but shouldn’t you be throwing in a retail box of Mac OS X Leopard with the unit? Apple worked hard to create Leopard and they’ve already pushed out six updates to it. Quite a bargain for $129 if you ask me.

  2. I will include Leopard with the MBP.

  3. James,

From the looks of it, the screen is glossy at 1680 x 1050. Can you confirm or correct me?

    Thanks,
    Lance

  4. Lance, that resolution is correct and I do believe it’s the glossy screen although not as glossy as the new MacBooks.
