imageKatalyst Films, the production company run by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, will be rolling out an original online series via widget-maker Slide in the coming months. Facebook users that have enabled the Slide FunSpace app will be able to watch and share the sponsored clips, and the two companies will split the ad revenue. It’s the first original series that will be released on Slide.

Kutcher leaked the news at our LA Year End Review and Mixer during his rather entertaining and enlightening Q&A with Arianna Huffington, though he didn’t reveal the name of the show or its commercial sponsors. The actor/producer/entrepreneur has been decidedly active in the digital media space over the past year, and talked about them at length at the event: he launched the Blah Girls celeb gossip site in September, invested in SaysMe.TV, a UGC company for political ads in April, and joined the board of a hybrid digital entertainment M&A fund backed by William Morris in March. There’s also the long-standing deal Katalyst brokered with *AOL* to develop an original series … though no news on it since then.

We will have the full video of the session up soon, so watch out for it.

Thanks to sponsors for making it possible: diamond sponsor, MSN Entertainment; silver sponsor, Marketwire; and our corporate sponsor, Guardian News and Media.

  1. Honestly the video advertised on the main page of Myspace. Ashton Kutcher is very offensive to me and oter viewers. Its called Holiday Ham.

If you look on the page, you can see different comments as well as my own.

RELGION IS A VERY TOUCY SUBJECT AND I DONT THINK ITS SOMETHING TO LAUGH ABOUT.

He had "Jesus Christ" wich is used in vain.
Mixing traditions of people's religion is not a joking matter,
along wit his comment along with muslims. thats being sterotyped. Its ridiculous and offensive.

I FEEL VERY STRONGLY THAT THIS VIDEO SHOULD BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY.

I DONT KNOW IF YOU WATCHED THE FILM ON THE PAGE BUT YOU SHOULD PROBABLY TAKE A LOOK AND SEE IT FROM OTHER PEOPLE PONT OF VIEW AND ASK YOURSELF " CAN TIS OFFEND SOMEONE??" NOT JUST YOU BECAUSE OF YOU AND YOUR RELGION/TRADITIONS. YOU KNOW IF YOU HAD THEM AND SOMEONE WOULD OVER STEP A BOUNDRY YOU WOULD SHARE THIS EMOTION LIKE I AM TOWARDS THIS VIDEO.

If you curious as to my opnion on this video this is what I wrote:

    personally, I was offended.
Religion is a very touchy subject and that wasn't kool Ashton.

No one even knows what Jesus looks like. The bible said that we were man's was made in the imageof the lord but that didnt say he had brown hair, was white or black or even hispanic or asian.
One of the disciples went blind trying to see the lord.

The lord wasn't even born on Christmas. It was in the Spring when the flowers start to come out to symbolizing the begginning of life.

On top of that, when he was sitting outside the building when supposedly Jesus came he said "Jesus Christ" using Jesus name in vain.

You seriously need to think about the things that be getting on to tv and the internet, that goes for Myspace, the people in this dumb film. Trying to make these lame films becuase this world is economic stress. The things that are already out are so sexual, racial and now bullsit about people's religion. What the hell is the world coming to.
And we all wonder why this world's coming to an end!!
We all adding more bull to the stereotypes, judemental world were in now.
    WOW!! IM JUST SO SHOCKED!!!
