Tiny Updates about FanSnap & Lijit

I often keep in touch with companies I write about, and occasionally there is news which amounts to continuation of my original post, and is worth sharing. Hope you guys are having a great weekend.

  • FanSnap, a vertical search engine for live event tickets secured $5.5 million in new funding from previous investor, General Catalyst Partners, bringing the total to $10.5 million. They also signed a deal to bring Ticket Network to their service which is only going to boost their utility. I wrote about them earlier this Fall.
  • Todd Vernon, CEO of Lijit, a Bouldder, Colo., told me earlier this summer that they were going to launch an ad-network for blogs that use there white-label search solution. After a beta period, they are going to turn on the service making it relatively easy for advertisers to buy ads on a blog or a grouping of blogs. They will have details on their blog next week.
