In the first significant investment in a UK start-up in several weeks, finance technology marketplace Smartfundit.com, which has offices in the UK and San Francisco, has raised £3.5 million of funding in a round led by European VC firm BayTech Venture Capital. Describing itself as an “online finance exchange” Smartfundit allows business to buy or software vendors to sell finance technology tools. It claims to have generated $1 billion in finance requests since its launch in the UK in 2006. Jude Ngu

  1. Well very good for a small company like Smartfundit.com with huge potential to get funding from a leading VC firm.It just shows the huge confidence people have in Smartfundit.com that it can achieve greater heights and maybe challenge the big game players later. The potential market for it's product is huge and untapped and this is a big plus for them.
