Okay, I was trying to be clever there, but it seems Real Networks has joined a long list of companies that are slashing jobs in light of the current economic situation. Media Memo first reported the news and now AllThingD has managed to get hold of an internal memo from CEO Rob Glaser that reveals that 130 jobs or 7.5% of the workforce was slashed, with a third of those laid off being overseas employees. Seattle headquarters are going to be hit hard - over 40 positions will be trimmed. They have suspended the holiday party and are cutting back on travel as well.
