Don’t blame ISPs for this one. They’re the ones who will get the expensive and time-consuming tech support calls. If this happens, blame the advocates of so-called “network neutrality” (which really isn’t “neutrality” but rather their own brand of favoritism). They advocated regulating the Internet and thus let the camel’s nose into the tent.

Please disregard my last comment, you are right that the child-safe is opt out but the government filter list won’t be.

They predict a 10 in 1,000 false positive error rate on filtering.

The constitution does not protect the Internet. The Internet however, needs its own constitution to prevent this sort of thing.

LibriVox.org and the Internet Archive archive.org regularly end up on the Verizon blacklist, among others. If blocking access to public domain audiobooks is your objective, this is likely a good way to do it.

We are hard on the way of losing the right to oppose our governments thoughts, if up to governments then all that is threatening to their view is forbidden.
This can only cause escalation.

If people are not prepared to do whatever is necessary to protect there freedoms, they will lose them.
