YouTube sensation “Fred” (a.k.a. Lucas Cruikshank) is movin’ on up when it comes to web sponsorships. The high-pitched hyper-active character has a deal with 20th Century Fox and Walden Media to promote their upcoming film City of Ember, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but we know that the 14-year old Cruikshank has made a pretty penny from previous sponsorship deals.

In last week’s episode, which has already hit 1.7 million plays, Fred talks about the book City of Ember, which the feature film is based on, during the show. In the episode launching today, Fred falls asleep and dreams that he is on the movie’s set and will bump into crew members and even the actor Tim Robbins.

Hollywood taking notice is a big step up for Cruikshank, who has aspirations to become an actor. While other web series still search for a business model, Cruikshank is filling his coffers. Last year’s event sold out and this year’s promises to be even bigger.
