Comparing Chrome with Opera 9.52 and having only a customized iGoogle page open on both, Opera uses 5MB less memory: 51MB vs 46MB.

Chrome is impressive but so is IE8[beta2] the memory footprints are quite similar – both have seperate sandboxes [procs] for tabs and ya the accelerator thing in IE is really usefull. Kevin if I were you I will surely throw IE 8 into the mix to see where is MS biggie going.

I just ran my testing and I came up with a huge difference:
Chrome:20MB
IE 7:250MB

yup. just loaded it up on my wind and seems to run pretty nicely too!

did you upgrade your wind or do you plan to? i threw an extra gb of ddr2 in and a nice ole 250gb hdd. :)
