Microsoft’s center of the universe is PC and that is -Exactly the problem.

Touch might work in restaurants , airports or even televisions – with very focussed functionality getting used again and again in a not-so-desk-oriented way , replacing the Laptop with a touchscreen’s – potentially no-no

Nice picture! I saw and touched one at HP during a school field trip in 1983. I also saw my first 3.5″ floppy disk, and a $100k+ laser printer that was the size of a small car.

The Latitude XT has been out for a while now, just lacking the drivers to enable multitouch.
