AgencyTool – a directory of creative agencies currently focused on website design companies – has a free resource that web workers may find useful: the Web Design Dashboard. “Dashboard” seems like not quite the right time: it’s a set of organized links covering many of the design, development, marketing, and site maintenance technologies that many of us need to work with.
We’re long past the point where it’s possible to remember every bit of necessary web design knowledge, so I find lists like these helpful. Some of their topic areas include CSS, UI design, stock photos, HTML references, SEO, domain management tools, and analytics. The coverage is uneven – for example, dynamic web technologies like Rails and Django are underrepresented – but the links that they have are generally well-chosen and useful.
