But they shouldn’t because they’ll lose video views at the end of the year, and the video platform market is becoming too competitive to dare such a move….

1) The Bandaids’ Auto-Player was a hoax to gain media attention (like the attention you’re giving the video here): http://www.avrilbandaids.com/forums/avril-lavigne-news-updates/58617-two-steps-ill-always-ahead-you.html

2) Avril Lavigne’s Girlfriend video has had embedded views turned off since last year. If anything, YouTube discounted autoplayed embedded views only helps Avril since she hasn’t had that advantage in her rise to the top.

Current projections suggest that Girlfriend will be #1 within 2 hours.
