The best thing that’s happened to Facebook: Apple’s MobileMe outage, the iPhone launch and iPhone activation problems across the board. Why? Because no one seems to be reporting on them being out for most of the morning. I just tried to get in; no luck. There is no update on their blog, either. I got a few responses to my question about Facebook’s status on Twitter, so this is not just a problem for me. Are you having Facebook problems as well?
Update: A Facebook spokeswoman emailed us back. “We did experience some issues with the site for a short time this morning, but it was never completely down. It was stabilized as of 10:10 a.m.” They are still investigating the root cause.
Yes! It keeps going in and out this morning. I tweeted this earlier…but I am suggesting they get a failwhale-esque mascot. My nomination: The Facebook DownClown.
Yes I’m getting the same thing this morning. It comes back up and then connection lost. I did tweet about this recently too.
Yes, having the same issue, but not until a few mins ago. Came back online a few times, but once found myself logged on as my wife- weird! Also, can access without issue on my iPhone- strange!
I haven’t been able to get on all morning. I second the vote for the DownClown.

Facebook is pulling a facebook chat and can’t decide if it’s up or down. Someone rush it some viagra.

Facebook’s been patchy all week. They killed access to my apps, and a few others, for 15 minutes earlier in the week. My app users complain to me about it.
Don’t worry though, the rollout of the new Facebook Profile next week will make us wish for the glory days of only minor outages.
I have not been able to get on facebook all day today. Anybody knows what is wrong?
