Memorylink is suing Motorola (NYSE: MOT) for fraud, patent infringement and breach of contract over streaming wireless technology that is used today by carriers to transmit video to mobile phones. The Wisconsin-based wireless technology developer is accusing the handset giant of “stealing” the technology “through a scheme of lies, broken promises and outright deceit.”

I am an inventor and I sympathize with memorylink. Inventors receive creative inspirations, then spend many impoverished years trying to get the idea ready for the market or a manufacturer, only to have the large corporations attempt to exploit the inventors. No wonder our society is not getting as many solutions to the problems we face today, the incentives for the inventors are being squashed.
