Amen to the telecomm giants fearing competition. I was a Manager of Data Communications for two to three years at a Fortune 500 company. It was extremely frustrating to deal with the telecomm contracts and carriers to try to resolve billing issues or concerns. Their corporate processes and policies seem to be geared to squeeze every last cent from corporations and consumers, while minimizing costs.

That certainly some filter. I suppose it would fit well into my bag phone, but it might add a few pounds.

@ mike, thanks for the link and i couldn't agree more. these guys fear one thing: competition especially one which needs some innovation. again, i saw a statement from M2Z about how the so called problems can be fixed. trying to get an official company statement.

T-mobile and Verizon say that there are no filters that stop at 2155 Mhz, so its impossible to allow someone to run TDD next to them, but here's an example of a filter that does just that: http://www.creowave.com/data/CW-BPF-2110-2155-E1-M2.pdf

The willingness of these big carriers to outright LIE to regulators and get away with it is just brazen.

It would be nice to be able to access my email and other things, and not have to be near a hotspot, or pay a phone carrier to access the Internet. but I could see why this would be a problem for isps they would lose alot of people who just use the Internet for web surfing and checking email. Why pay when you can get it for free.
