Opposing Views, a site for people to debate weighty issues, has raised a $1.25 million first round led by Frontera Group, Gil Elbaz, (co-founder, Applied Semantics), the company’s own CEO Russell Fine and other private investors. Earlier this year, the company raised $1.5 million, for a total of $2.75 million. The funding will go to the actual launch of the site, which is not yet live — it’s supposed to launch this month. Russell Fine previously founded Youbet.com, the publicly traded horse betting site. Release.
