It's been brought up a couple of times here in the comments, but it must be said, over and over again, that clause #8 in Adobe's Photoshop Express EULA is outrageous. What are they thinking? There are a few other things that were going to keep me away from this web app anyway, but I would never upload any of my photography to this site if I have to grant such a ridiculous and unlimited license to Adobe. Wow.

Adobe doesn’t have a clue about hosted service, or the web for that matter. And with low morale and internal turf battles with former macromedia teams, much of the company is in bad shape. This product is not gonna save it.

Tripp, that is an interesting rights grab. I understand part of the intent -- to protect Adobe from the fact that they may have ads or other revenue streams displayed on pages where those public photos are being displayed -- but other parts are just a huge rights grab.

This is the part I really got a kick out of:

"...fully sublicensable license to use, distribute, derive revenue or other remuneration from..."

So, basically, you upload a photo to the public area and they can sell that photo to someone, receive money for it, and not pay you a dime.

I think nobody can dispute the fact that Adobe is one of the most stable and benevolent internet companies because they have made their PDF software available for billions of humans to use free. I wish them well.
