I got one, my wife did, our business partner did, and many people I consult with bought an iphone.</p> <p>The touch screen is there, mobiles sites aren't necessary, because of the zoom feature in Safari 3.0. I talked to my dad about mobile phones yesterday, and while he can build his own website, knows how to market it, and is 63 years of age...he doesn't know what WAP is nor does he care.</p> <p>What makes sense to him: he has a website. He wants it to work everywhere. He already built it once. With the iphone, suddenly, it does. He doesn't need to rebuild it in Wap.</p> <p>The touchscreen won't revolutionize the market in the US. Making the entire web, not just a subset of it, work on a mobile device is what's needed.
