SF-based WooMe, a service that facilitates personal introductions, a la speed dating, has raised $3 million led by Mangrove Capital, along with previous investors Atomico (Skype founders Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis) and investor Klaus Hommels. The round, which the start-up is calling a “bridge”, follows a $1.9 million first round, bringing its total raise to $4.9 million. The service allows users to quickly find other users in chat and start meeting them over video. In the three months since its launch, it claims to have facilitated 250,000 introductions.
