Social shopping site StyleFeeder has bagged $2 million in its first round of institutional funding from Highland Capital Partners and Schooner Capital. The Cambridge, Mass.-based company, which recently morphed into a full-fledged site (and maybe business?) from a widget has a full-fledged site, a Facebook application and a widget, offers recommendations about clothes, gadgets and home goods. StyleFeeder says it will use the funding to snag users and employees.

  • Stylefeeder is addictive because it’s useful, and it has gotten more useful over time. I look forward to seeing it grow – I can’t imagine shopping without it.

  • you guys gotto be kidding .. its a confused site .. a fusion of shopping and social networking will never work.. you have to click a million times to reach to a product .. normal deal sites are better than this .. there goes another $2 million in drain .. i m thinking of moving to west coast .. looks like VC’s there have a tonn of extra money to waste ..
