Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) has appointed Matt White has its first head of mobile advertising, filling a role created to handle Yahoo’s increasing mobile inventory reports NMA. Previously Yahoo had its online sales team handle both platforms, but “decided to recruit specialists for internal support and to educate ad agencies”. White will report to the commercial director once it is filled (the previous commercial director, Blake Chandlee, left for Facebook in October). White previously worked at Channel 4, where he was responsible for rolling out its mobile advertising service.
