InsideView, which makes tools for marketers to target individuals at companies (using business information), has acquired TrueAdvantage, also a developer of sales intelligence technology. It appears that InsideView is mainly interested in TrueAdvantage’s customer, and it’s promising customers a seamless migration to its own platform. Both companies scan the web for information relevant to marketers, but as VentureBeat explains, InsideView is adept at scanning blogs, social networks and online forums for relevant data. The idea is that marketers should know not only who they’re targeting, but their online behaviors as well. InsideView raised a $7.4 million first round earlier this year.
