Hi,

I just bought a protective case for my Ipod at target through www.newelectronicdeals.com on Black Friday. I'm glad my I'm Ipod is protected, but it looks stupid the way it currently is.

Apple needs to regulate some of it's 3rd party providers for elegance and design.

I guess I thought getting it on Black Friday would be a benefit.

K.S.

While Apple has sold 100 million iPods, the installed base of iPods is much smaller than that. I have 3 working iPods (a 1 gig shuffle, a 16 gig touch, and a 5 gig gen1 iPod on the boat) and 3 dead ones.

Shuffles can't play games (apple doesn't break down sales by unit, but a large % of ipods in circulation are $79 shuffles). I'd be suprised if the installed base of game capable iPods is more than 10 million. Still a good sized market, but no where near 100 million.
