The surprise contest that evolved out of the funny video of Kevin unboxing a Leopard was a fun one and we got a lot of good entries.  The correct answer to the question that asked "what is the prize?" is of course a full boxed version of Vista Ultimate and the lucky winner is Chris van Gorder.  Chris will be receiving his prize shortly so join me in congratulating him for winning a full copy of Vista Ultimate.  How cheeky of us to give a copy of Vista Ultimate on Mac OS X Leopard launch date.  We bad.

  1. Thank you, James and Kevin.

I will cheekily and gladly accept this prize!

IMHO Microsoft should have given away 100 free copies of Vista Ultimate on the date of Leopard’s launch!

  3. I will happily provide the recipient of your prize with free counselling for any trauma he may suffer after installing Vista.

  4. I plan to install Vista on my Q1, the original.

I’m going to have to get a 2GB RAM DIMM for it, but I’ll repurpose the current 1 GB DIMM (I upgraded a year or so ago) into my Motion LE1600, which has the standard 512 MB DIMM installed.

I’ll report back on the results once it’s all completed.

I’d like to do the Motion, but I’d have to get a bigger HDD, and that’s more than I can spend right now, given my current unemployed state.

  5. Vista Ultimate arrived today, and the new RAM should be in soon.

    Thanx James and Kevin!
