Spammers keep getting creative and never stop from flooding out inboxes. After trying out attachments like docs, pdfs and what not, they are now spamming us with artistname.mp3 attachments.

MessageLabs has just received word that in the last two days, there’s been a new form of online spam attack–MP3s are now the latest file format being used by cyber criminals to promote “audio stock spam” that aims to deceive unsuspecting investors and ultimately control the value of stock for nefarious reasons… The file name of the audio recording is interchanging to avoid detection, with some using real artist’s names to encourage opening, such as elvis.mp3, britney.mp3, beatles.mp3, etc .
